About the event
Arthur Snell worked in the Foreign Office for two decades and saw first hand many international crises in places such as Afghanistan and Iraq, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. In 2022 he published a trenchant critique of British foreign policy 'How Britain Broke the World'. He is now working on a new book, hosting a podcast and is a geopolitical consultant. He will talk to Madeleine Bunting, former Guardian columnist about how we might make sense of what's going on behind the headlines.
